Unknown device - Cervena hora (near Guntramovice / Gundersdorf, Czech republic)

Near the weather station on Cervena hora are 4 big concrete socles (at N 49° 46.576' E 17° 32.572')

Description of the historical photo on the information panel at the weather station.

During the WWII German army built on top of Červaná hora the steel construction used to guide aircraft. In 1995 construction was removed because the stronger wind tremble the subsoil, which interfered with seismic measurements.

What was the device?

My vote goes for an unknown "Schwere Funkfeuer" (SFF). It might have been SFF named Xerxes, as it was supposed to be quite near to the position given by you. The socles and mounting points look very similar to what Czarek-Alkali and CoVoX found in several places in Poland (see other threads on this forum).

But distance between this place and coordinates of SFF Xerxes from Ln-datenbank is about 50 kilometers !

Hi,
The SFF were omni directional, this system looks very much like one intended to transmit a highly directional signal.
Not much help I know, but maybe a relevant comment.

Right SES, the antenna does look directional, but then I see it quite useless to mount such antenna upon a fixed basis - I'd suppose a turnable mounting which, in this case, most likely was not present.

Question: Was this device or tower the sole building at that site? No socles for a second tower in the vicinity?

Nearby there was only the wooden triangulation tower.

are you sure that the wooden tower had been a triangulation tower (trigonometrical sign)?
