Gefechtsbildschreiber.

Hi,
In a series of photos recently acquired, there was also this:

at the bottom og the page. I always thought that the Gefechtsbildschreiber was the father of the OHP. On the picture one can clearly see that the device could be moved and projected the info from a plate. This differs rom the functionality we know from to-days OHPs.

Hi Michael,
how would the info from the GBS get to the plotting map? There seems to be no lens or focussing system underneath the mirror...

Hi Chris,
A very good question. Evidently the position of the pointer on the plate is projected. Also note that the operators also have a Lichtpunktverfer available.
