Beitrag von Alkali » 01.04.2009 00:14

Hi Friends,

Below report with my visits in 11. Jägerleit-Kompanie „Ananas”.
Location - on west from village Hohenkirch (now Wysoka), somewhat north from Annaberg (now Góra Swietej Anny).
Equipment at war:
- 2 Freya Egon,
- 5 Y-Linien.
Present state: rest of
- 4 Heinrich Peiler,
- 5 Hans E-Mess - two small (on map as Hans E-Mess 1 and 2) three large (Hans E-Mess 3 – 5),
- 2 Freya Egon,
- one unidentified small ruins, concrete and brick - maybe small barrack ?

At present terrain cuts highway. I did not find after barracks place.

Regards,
Czarek

Hi Alkali,

this is absolutely magnificent. I especially like Your station layout map.
It's very encouraging to see, that You were able to find all Hanses, even the "small" ones.

Btw. I envy You the elevation of 385m above sea level ;-).
Best regards from Pegasus-Y, 864m, 40 cm of snow ;-)

Jägerleit Stellung Ananas-Y

Beitrag von CoVoX » 04.11.2016 02:31

Hi All,

During one of the visits in Stellung Ananas-Y I have excavated would-be foundations of Freya Egon. To my suprprise foundations had no bolts, so no radar was ever installed there! According to the statements of the eyewitness two Freya Egon radars had been in fact in other place, which is confirmed by fragments of Splittermauer found there.

So – what kind of Freya radars was were about to be installed there on this unfinished foundations?!

According to the set of equipment - only 5 x Y-Linien + 2 x Freya Egon

Best Regards,
CoVoX

Hi CoVoX,
Very nice finds.
Neither the Freya LZ nor the EGON needed bolts on the Sockles. They could be placed directly on the Sockles and leveled with the large "screws" on the legs. Please see:

Hi SES,

I think that Freya Egon and Freya LZ had to be mounted on the same concrete foundation using bolts with nuts.

If there is no bolts it means that radar had not been mounted there. This is the same for other equipment - Bernhard, Freya Verbunkert, Heinrich Peiler, Jagdschloss, Würzburg, Würzburg-Riese etc.

I have found many of such unfinished foundations, in which most likely they run out of time to install bolts.

Please see attached pictures.

Best Regards,
CoVoX
