Raffinerie Heide in Hemmingstedt
Raffinerie Heide in Hemmingstedt
Sorry for writing in English, but my German is not good enough. I can read German, but I can't express myself ..
I need help with the oil refinery at Heide-Hemmingstedt. I am working on a book about attacks on German shipping in the last two month of the war. The book will be divided up in two sections. One about Coastal Commands attack on German shipping and one about the Strategic Air Forces attacks on German harbours and other installations.
I became interested in an attack on Hemmingstedt during the night of 7/8th of March 1945. I can find very, very little information about the refinery and oil drilling and oil mines. Who can point me in the right direction ?
Thanks in advance
Carsten

Hello Carsten,
and welcome to geschichtsspuren.de
I've moved your thread to WW2/Logistics-Section because I think it is the better place for it because of the timeline and the topic of your question.
There are some very active users in the WW2-Section who handle it like you, writing in english and reading in german, so that should not be the problem.
And I also hope they could give you a hint for your research.

Moin!
@Delmenhorst
There is a good book about the rafinery

Scheinraffinerie ?
Hallo,
CDoQ6AEwAQ,
dessen Autor Holger Piening seriös recherchiert.
Grüsse
bettika
