Heeresversuchsanstalt No 10 - where it was?
Heeresversuchsanstalt No 10 - where it was?
Hi All,
where was placed Heeresversuchsanstalt No10?
The most famous was in: Peenemünde and Bad Saarow, Kummersdorf and Hillersleben.
I know the difference between: Schiessplatz, Truppenubungsplatz and Verschusplatz but how it works with: Heeresversuchsanstalt togehter with Verschusplatz ???
Heeresversuchsanstalt and Verschusplatz was used as the same official names of testing facilities?
Or just one word is official/correct?

Where you have the statement number 10 from and of when this is?

Hi Deproe,
it was in a book of I.Witkowski devoted to Wunderwaffe projects.
He wrote that this info came from interrogation of SSman involved in those tests.
Perhaps it has something to do with nuclear researchs(?)
Mayby it was small group of scientists without large facilities so it is not known.

Hi,
in book was exactly written: Heeresversuchsanstalt No10
Witkowski wrote about famous 'Die Glocke' - i think that everybody knows this project.
However i'd like to know more about Heeresversuchsanstalt No10.
I know few places in Germany that a military research took place but this is unknown to me...
I don't know what to think....did Gottow had a next number like 10?
Any document can confirm that?

for me it looks too-that's why i'm asking-thought someone of forum members can give more light on it....involved in which tests? To me, this sounds very suspicious.

Thanks for explanation!i think you mean Heeresversuchsanstalt and Versuchsplatz.
The first Name Heeresversuchsanstalt is the identifikation for the whole facility.
The Versuchsplatz ist the special Area, where the Tests startet, for e.x. the place
who startet the Rocket first time...

SUBJECT: Gerlach Summary of Nuclear Reports
1. A new edition of "Forschungsberichte" was planned containing articles on successful pile experiments. Five articles in all were contemplated, and Gerlach wrote an introductory summary. We found this introductory summary in rough pencilled form which gives the status of the project as of January 1945.
-----------------------------------------
An examination of history books shows no project as of January 1945. Included in this document are locations as follows:
L II -- Leipzig II
CTR -- Che. technische Reichsanstalt
G II -- Gottow II
G III -- Gottow III
B V -- Berlin Versuch

Good morning Andrew,
These are just the titles of the 2nd / 3rd experiment which took place in Gottow.G II -- Gottow II ... G III -- Gottow III
I know only Part I "Die Wahrheit über die Wunderwaffe". This book is SciFi. Forget Witkowski as a reliable source......it was in a book of I.Witkowski devoted to Wunderwaffe projects.
