Funkmessstellung Eber gefunden ??
Hallo zusammen,
@SES Could that be a Freya AN foundation ?

Hi,
Have you taken the following measures:
- bolt diameter
- distance between 2 bolts in a single sockel
- distance between 2 adjacent and 2 opposite socles?
That would solve the question at once.
For me, these bolts seem too thick for a Freya. They fit more for some tower, but I may be wrong. Let's SES decide. Anyway - nice find
brgds, M.

Hi,
I agree 100 % with alkali. The sloping top is typical of the Heinrich Tower sockles. A Freya A/N in my experience did not have a concrete foundation (whereas the LZ always did), but we never say never. But you have no doubt found the Stellung.
When identifying foundations, measurements of the distance between the individual sockles are important, did you take these and could you please post.

Hi,
I should qualify "in my experience". It is based on the survey of 20 Stellungen in Denmark. The closest I came to identifying "something", which could have been a Freya A/N foundation, was a concrete slab. Often the Freya was NOT mounted on the curiform legs, hence there was no need for 4 concrete "paws". It is also based on a number of pictures where it is very hard to tell if the Freya is on the curiform legs or pictures were it is not. Please see the attached.

Foundation measurements
Well, I must admit that left one of my boxes with my Metermass at home that is why I have no exact data
The distance between the socles was about 4 metres. The distance was shorter than the distance of the foundation in Eppingen (what I thought was a Heinrich Peiler). In addition there were no bolts in Eppingen but heavy iron bars.
I am sorry that I have no exact data for the moment but I promise to get the data the next weeks.
The bolts obviously are a bit thicker than on Alkalis picture.
Next time I will be better prepared but we were just moving at that time and I did not find my full equipment that day.
Regards,
Torsten

Hi SES,
what kind of radar was it ? Probably it is something else ? Interesting is a small bunker I discovered some 100 metres away , I will show pictures later. There was another interesting building and garage and the was a kind of water tower not far away (pictures will follow).
Have you ever heard of a radar placed on a thing like that ?

Torsten
