HI Leif,
Oh my god, you'll have to wait for my next book. But of course a good, relevant and thoughtful question. I'll try to give a short version. The FuMO Stellungen were arranged in clusters, which all reported to an Ortungs Zentrale (OZ). This in turn reported to the Seekommandant, who decided, which tactical action was required based on the plot. All OZs also reported to the MOK/Area Admiral so he had an operational view of the situation. In Denmark there was an OZ at Esbjerg, Frederikshavn and Copenhagen and Admiral Dänemark in Århus. Each of the OZs were responsible for producing "The Recognized Surface Picture" in their respective area of responsibility. I'll try to go through the sources again and see what other OZs I can find.

Leif
In welcher Region ?

Leif

Hallo Leif,

Interesting remark about the lighthouses. I think that a FuMO Seetakt location corresponds with a lighthouse neighbourhood in at least 3 cases in Poland.
Today afternoon I was researching lighthouses for this reason, and now I've read your post  So there must be something right about it!

cheers,
Michal

Hello

First the places were lighthouses were build , are always
on a great open spot to see the light far out on the sea ,
just like radarbeams and second there was electronic supply .
But as Aga300 has written there were not always build near lighthouses.

Regards Jos

Hi,
Where there is a lighthouse there is access to the beach and there is a reasonable road.
The logic of placement of Seetakts follows that of lighthouse to some extend. E.g. the curvature of the earth has an impact on the distance between the units, lighthouses guide the way into narrow rivers, the Seetakt watch the shipping. So I suggest that it is mainly the geography/hydrography that has driven the location of lighthouses, and the locations of Seetakts was partly driven by the same requirements and constraints.
