Hi,

there is another one in the Museum in Haugesund (Krigshistorisk Museum Arquebus), which will be restaurated in the future. I think it is from Sweden. More Infos to follow.

The wreck of a WR-dish from the Batterie Vare has been transfered to the Area of Lista and will be conservated.

Best regards,
Leif

Hi,

I would like to add a few photos from Radio Kootwijk (Holland) where WR was using as a telescope.

Approximate location (from GE) 52°10'15.60"N 5°49'52.95"E
Unfortunately this emplacement doesn't exist now.

http://www.demelkwegontrafeld.nl/en/htm ... twijk.html

And one more question. What happened with WR from Humain (Belgium) 50°11'29.74"N 5°15'4.60"E ?

best regards

Wojtek

Würzburg-Riese at the University of Cambridge

Hi All,

I found this interesting photo of the ”radiotelescope” at the Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory (MRAO) near Cambridge.
In 1981 the ”radiotelescope” was transported to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, where it is till today.

Hi All,

During my visit in the Czech Republic I was in the museum in Lešany, where is radar WR, which was brought from the Astronomical Observatory in Ondrejov. The operator’s cabin is in maintenance at present.
