Hi,
You can imagine my surprise when I found the photo attached. The entire scenery is Danish and there is a clear description of the location (Flade Bakker, near Flade Kirke near Frederikshavn). Since Trenkle only lists nine of these systems and none of them in Denmark I was very skeptical. But a friend of mine quickly dug out an intel report from December 1944 describing a Wotan II and giving the exact location.
So that makes 10 Wotan II except if this one was moved in from France.
In my subsequent research I found an additional one in Breslau.

So that makes 11 if this one was not moved from France.

Hi SES!
A "WOTAN-II" in Denmark! Nice find!
Are you sure about the one in Poland?
Ulf Balke listed in "Kampfgeschwader KG 100 'Wiking'” a
"Übersicht der X-Sendestationen" (Wotan-I).
At position 19 he wrote: "Petersberg, west. Trebnitz,
Schlesien, 250m NN, 1938/39"
The one in Poland is near Piotrkowiczki, which was
called in German "Peterwitz". The height was round
about 220m and it's south-west of Trebnitz (Trzebnica).
So could it have been a "Wotan-I"?
Best wishes
Rolf

WOTAN II
