Hi SES!
A small supplement...
The Britons were with "ULTRA" on the intelligence path too...

Date; ULTRA Report No; Short description
28 February 1945; BT 5959; OKL-Signals site construction in Wasserburg.

High Command of the Air Force or in Berlin was informed on 26 February of the “progress of emergency work” in constructing an alternate signals headquarters at Wasserburg. This particular message included a comment that this headquarters had remained “consistently in Berlin [up until this point in the war].”

22 April 1945; KO 1078; OKL main body department 1 at Berchtesgaden, departments 2 and 3 at Wasserburg.

The High Command of the German Air Force was divided into three separate departments; one located in Berchtesgaden, the other two at Wasserburg. This ULTRA message further specified that these three departments, under control of the chief of staff, were responsible for the employment of Luftwaffe signals unit and communications.

There are there two other ULTRA Reports, describing the locations of 'OKL Directorate of Signals + other OKL staff sections' and 'OKL operations staff' (26 and 29 March 1945) in barracks in the Weimar staging area. Presumably these staffs went to Berchtesgaden and Wasserburg.

Best regards
Hebbel

It is my understanding that Gabersee is a suburb to Wasserburg, is that correct?

To answer that very old question:

In the time we are talking about, Gabersee was one of the parts of the independant municipality ATTEL. 1. May 1978 it was incorporated into the township of Wasserburg am Inn.

Attached is a cutout of TK 25 7939 https://lib.byu.edu/

This shows clearly, that in 1945 there was quite a distance between Gabersee and Wasserburg.
Inportant is the railway station Gabersee.

Servus,

hier ist ein interessantes Dokument über "The German Air Force Radio Intercept Service", in dem auch Kurfürst 3 erwähnt wird.
