In post-war interrogation reports Galland is describing, how Me 262s were controlled by a station located on the home airfield. It was equipped with a radar (Freya LZ) for tracking of the target, a Freya-EGON for tracking of the Me 262 formation and a "beam-system" for guidance of the Me 262. With a minimum of plotting on a map, it would be possible to figure out an intercept vector to a cut-off point and point the beam in that direction. It is now my theory that the "beam-system" in question must have been the FuS An 722 ZYKLOP. Does anyone have additional information on this entire set-up.

My only remark to your page (not to your question) is that the Egon-Stellung "Swinegel" was co-located to Funkmeßstellung Silberfuchs in Siegen. In the post-war time the Stellung Silberfuchs was demolished and a new settlement buildt up on the place where formerly the Silberfuchs baracks have stood. Nowadays only the learned Theban recognizes that the name of the street "Silberfuchs" refers to the former Funkmeßstellung.
