Hi Mike,
I'm more than happy to receive corrections and additions, but I think this is the most comprehensive list on www.

I have looked at your german phonetic alphabet and found these:
L=Lucie
R=Ricard

Shouldn't this be R=Richard?
The second just got some attention because I had doubts about the usage of a french name in the german alphabet. Maybe Luzie?
They didn't use Ludwig or the like then?

Hi,
Thank you very much for your response. I mispelled Richard, but Lucie is correct iaw MDv 922, p. 6. And how long would we last on this forum if we suggested that the Km was wrong ;) .

No problem, it just rang a bell. I have looked at your Operational Brevity Code list and found no such typos.
You are doing a great work, the mass of information on your page astonishes and interests even a non-ln-nerd like me :)

HI,
Mr G. Aders was kind enough to provide me with a late 1944 copy of the German document. The list now contains the codewords authorized in late 1944, they are all associated with a Morse Tri-graph. Those which are not, are codewords used earlier or introduced later.

Your new field telephone alphabet entry is using L=Ludwig like i thought.

Maybe there really were different alphabets, depending on time or military branch?

Hi,
I tend to believe your are right. Both my alphabets are based on soild sources and there is a difference. And I am grateful for these sorts of reactions, thank you very much, now we need to establish if the "Telephone alphabet" was Heer specific or if it was used by the Lw as well. Anybody?
