Hi SES!
I don't have a proper answer to you question, but maybe Hoffmann helps...
Band II, part 1, page 415
There is a "Funkunterlage", which changed from day to day with a couple of
airfields (and Jagd-Gefechtsstände?) incl. their main frequency, a reserve-
frequency (both on short-wave, not on VHF), a callsign (for morse) and a
"Deckwort".
Maybe the "Deckwort" was their callsign for voice-communication and "Spelunka"
was a callsign for another day...
Best wishes
Rolf

Hi,
The Gef.Std. of II JK was located in an inn in Flammersfeld, could there be a connection (self ironic). At the time of the event the day fighters of 3 JD and Jafü M.R. were under operational control of II JK.

Hi!
Of course I agree to Jürgen...
SPELUNKE sounded must better to me as well.
We (you) know all the "famous" Gefeschtsstände in(and out)side of the "Reich".
Why there is a totally new callsign?
Very strange...
And who was "SPILOTA"?
Best wishes
Rolf

Hi Rolf,
In the last six month of the war the organization of the C2 of the fighters changed and I do not have a complete handle on all the names and callsigns. Please see:
