Flakstellung - unbekannte Bettung
Hallo zusammen,
Matthias

Moin!
As far as I know we have several Flak fundaments around Cracow - which mostly belong to the 8,8cm - these are flat concrete plates with bolts mounted in a circle.
The remainings which are shown in both upper threads look to me as remains of the 3,5cm Flak.
Here in Cracow we find them among / between the 8,8 locations at the same battery.
If you dig a little around these round "tables" you'll find that there is lots of more concrete beneath the earth.
Greetings from Cracow
Thomas

The diameter looks the same and the number of mounting bolts are the same as on the Bettung found here:

bottom of the page.
According to a German map from 1944 it was a site for 3,7 cm Flak.

SES
Hi SES,
thanks for the information and the link to your fantastic page!
I am convinced something on a "Sockellafette" was mounted there, but I'm not sure which kind of Flak it really was. The "2cm Flakvierling 38" seems to have had that kind of "Sockellafette" (8 bolts?), but it also could have been any other kind of weapon I guess (?).
Matthias

Have a look at the pictures at the following links:
http://www.sudden-strike-2-maps.de/phpB ... 9ae2019df9
and
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Waf ... Flak43.htm
there you can see that the mounting could match with the fundaments. At the first link it is also written at the end of each weapon: "ortsfester Einsatz"
Greetings
Thomas
