In German post war returns to the allies of radar equipment I have always wondered, why radarsites with the otherwise most modern equipment were also fitted with seemingly Freya(Mot.). And not until I looked closely on the frequency used, did it dawn upon me. It is a reporting error seen so many times in German reporting both during and after the war.
The item in question here is a Freya found in SEEHUND, reported as a normal Freya(Mot), but working on a frequency of 80 Mhz, and that does not compute. So back to Trenkle. It is no doubt a FuMG(Flum) 41G(k3B) "Köthen C" with an antenna of 7,7 x 9,6 m. And SEEHUND was so equipped in order to have a radar outside the frequency band of the Jagdschloss and Wassermann IV.
