Hi Michael,

the given position for Jagdabschnittsführer Mittelrhein is incorrect:

If you look at your own drawing at viewtopic.php?t=8777&start=10
you will find, that
Nr. 1 shows the postition of the demolished bunker of 21. Flak-Division.
Nr. 4 (eastern one) shows the bunker built for Jagdabschnittsführer Mittelrhein. Bunker never became fully operational
The red roof of the building West of most westerly Nr. 4 is a still existing small house adjacent to the former Hotel and Gaststätte Ludwigshöhe. This Hotel was used for the Gefechtsstand and was demolished by Luftwaffe in March 1945.

Are you saying that Jafü Mit.Rhein was co-located with 21.Flak.Div all the time, and that the red roofed building was the Gef.Std?

Hi SES,

I'm saying, Jafü Mittelrhein was located in the close vicinity of Gefechtsstand 21. Flak-Division. This one occupied the buildings of todays Schulzentrum Marienhöhe http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulzentr ... nh%C3%B6he .
These buildings were confiscated at the beginning of WWII and a bunker (hardened building) was erected later.

The Jafü Mittelrhein occupied the buildings at the Ludwigshöhe in 1940 (see http://www.ludwigshoehe-darmstadt.de/ Historie).

Hi ZF,
I'm not convinced. The Jafü was not established until 8 MAR 1944. It's name was GABRIEL strongly suggesting Giesheim as the location.
