Mystery bunker, GefStd or LS?

Beitrag von SES (†) » 14.06.2006 21:48

Hi,
To-day I came across this photo in Flyvevåbnets Historiske Samling at Karup. The origin is totally obscure, the donator, the place and the purpose. From the looks of it, it is either a GefStd or a LS Bunker. But where? and GefStd or LS-Bunker? Can anyone possibly help.

hi SES,

is this already the complete photo?
Perhaps somebody can identify the uniform of the soldier, on top of the roof seems to be a banner or something like that.

What comes to my mind is the Reichsbahnbunker in Berlin at "Anhalter Bahnhof"

Hi Oliver,
The soldier looks British to me. Please note that he he looking at some sort of damage to the entrance, the arming irons are exposed.
And yes it is sadly the complete photo.

There seems to be some kind of a white sign or notice a bit left of the soldier.
Is there a chance to get this section in high resolution, to perhaps identify some text there on, by some post processing?
I've tried with the picture as it is, but it's so blurred, I cannot recover anything.

Hi,
Thank you for the response. Tried a scan in 1200 dpi, but the original print is not clear enough to make out anything.

Hi,
One of my Bunker-Nerd associates just came up with this:
http://www.luftschutzbunker-wilhelmshav ... trutz.html
I think we are very close to the type. Questions remains - where?

Hi,

it seems possible to me that these two buildings are the same type - but please do me a favour and do not call them "Truppenmannschaftsbunker 1500", too, or "750" or anything like that... These expressions are made up by one of these guys and I really can't stand it.

Hi Mattias,
Thank you for your response. Do you have the correct designations for these bunkers?

Hi,

as far as I know nobody was able to find the official name for these buildings so far, at least I haven't found any hint in the internet or my books.

Don't take my statement too serious as far as this made-up expression is concerned... But I really find it quite ridiculous to create new names for building-types of the 2nd Worldwar, which real names are simply forgotten.

Regards,
Matthias
